Duck

Central Washington · North Idaho

Duck hunts are the heart of what we do. Depending on the week and the weather, that means a dry field over a decoy spread, or open water with the dog working the edge. Your guide chooses the spot after scouting, not before.

You show up, settle in, and shoot. We handle the calling, the spread, and the retrieving. First-timers get a walk-through before the first flight; experienced hunters get a guide who stays out of the way until the birds commit.

Included

  • Scouting and the setup
  • Decoys and calling
  • Retriever work
  • Gear if you need it

Who it suits

Anyone from a first hunt to a lifetime of them. Good for small groups and father-and-son mornings.

Goose

Central Washington · North Idaho

Goose hunts happen in the fields, set up around where the birds have been feeding. It is patient work: the spread goes out in the dark, the calling starts when the first flock lifts, and the shooting comes in bursts.

Big birds over a well-placed spread is a sight people drive a long way for. Bring warm layers and a good attitude about waiting.

Included

  • Scouted field and setup
  • Full-body and silhouette spread
  • Calling and retriever work
  • Gear if you need it

Who it suits

Hunters who like the setup as much as the shot, and groups who want a morning to talk about.

Dove

Central Washington · where available

Dove is the easy entry: warm weather, light gear, and more shooting than any other hunt we run. It is the morning we recommend for kids and for anyone who has never carried a shotgun in the field.

Experienced hunters use it to knock the rust off before the waterfowl season. Either way, the dog still gets to work.

Included

  • Scouted field
  • Guiding and safety briefing
  • Retriever work
  • Gear if you need it

Who it suits

New hunters, families, and anyone who wants an easy, social morning.

Central Washington

Moses Lake · the Columbia Basin

The Basin is farm country with water in it: irrigated grain and corn, potholes, canals, and reservoirs that hold birds through the cold. Every setup is scouted and set before you arrive, where the ducks and geese have been working, not where they were last year.

North Idaho

Coeur d'Alene · the Idaho Panhandle

The Panhandle hunts differently: timbered lakes, river bottoms, and smaller fields tucked between hills. Same guides, same dogs, same rule about scouting before anyone sets a decoy.

Bring the whole crew.

Groups of five or more hunt for $275 per hunter. Business groups, a father and sons, a camp of old friends: tell us the headcount and the experience in the group and we will plan a morning that works for all of it.

A morning with Wing N Fin

How a hunt generally goes, for first-timers and parents who want to know what to expect.

  1. Before the hunt

We talk through dates, your group, experience, and gear so nothing is a surprise.

  2. Meeting up

You meet your guide at an agreed spot before first light.

  3. Safety briefing

Muzzles, zones of fire, and how the dog works. Short, and the same every time.

  4. Setting up

The spread is already out. You settle in while the sky starts to change.

  5. The hunt

Your guide calls the birds and calls the shots. You shoot.

  6. Retriever work

The dog does the wet work and brings every bird to hand.
